Iran proposes joint investments in new technologies and artificial intelligence

BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 24. Iran proposes
joint investments in new technologies, especially in artificial
intelligence, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said at the first
plenary meeting held in the BRICS+ format in Russia’s Kazan on
October 24, Trend
reports.

According to him, new technologies, especially artificial
intelligence, will have a profound and strategic impact on the
vitality of all countries. Soon, several countries will again, as
in the past, impose many restrictions on the acquisition of new
technologies by developing countries.

Pezeshkian pointed out that, given the circumstances, we have no
choice but to step on the gas when it comes to sharing experiences
and working together in this area.

BRICS, an intergovernmental organization, came into existence in
2006. Russia assumed the BRICS chairmanship on January 1, 2024. At
present, alongside Russia, Brazil, India, China, and South Africa,
the organization has also welcomed Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, the UAE,
and Saudi Arabia into the fold.
