New Delhi, Jan 17 (UNI) Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Wednesday held a meeting with ambassadors of eight countries at Kapurthala House in New Delhi.
The ambassadors of Spain, France, Brazil, Australia, Malaysia, UK, Netherlands, Turkey attended the meeting.
Briefing the media after the meeting, Bhagwant Mann said, “The meeting was called to make Punjab the number one state by bringing investments in Agriculture, IT and industrial sectors”.
Bhagwant Mann said that 87 percent of the country’s Agro-products are made in Punjab and by bringing investment in this segment will give a new boost in this sector.
The Chief Minister said the meeting with all the ambassadors was very good and all of them have shown their interest in visiting Punjab.
Mann added that the matter would be taken up at the secretary level very soon.
Highlighting the achievement of AAP led government in Punjab, Mann said, “Reserves migration has taken place in Punjab because of development policies undertaken by the AAP government”.
“The people of Punjab now start to reimpose their faith in the state government…adding that the only purpose of the meeting was to make Punjab the number one state in the country”.
When asked about the seat sharing with I.N.D.I.A bloc for the upcoming Lok Sabha election, he said, ‘The AAP will win all the 13 seats in the state”.
In the 2019 election, the Congress won eight seats and the AAP only one seat.
