Jaipur: Chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, deputy chief minister Diya Kumari, and other members of the high-level delegation of the state govt met with the UK govt’s minister for the Indo-Pacific Region, Catherine West, on Thursday. They visited the UK Parliament and held a meeting with select MPs of Indian origin. During these meetings, the chief minister sought the support of the UK govt in facilitating investments from the country in Rajasthan.He also invited them to participate in the ‘Rising Rajasthan‘ Investment Summit. The delegation met representatives of firms from the IT, diamond manufacturing, and automobile sectors, including Element Six, Synconode, JCB, and Triumph Motorcycles. Sharma said, “We had very useful discussions with the officials and parliamentarians of the British govt. We discussed with many companies there about setting up business units in Rajasthan.” TNN
The delegation will participate in the ‘Rising Rajasthan‘ investors meet in London later in the day, where MoUs are expected to be signed with companies there. The delegation will also participate in an event where expatriate Rajasthanis will take part.
