What's New In Investments, Funds? – Praxis Group, Investec, Axiom

The latest news in investment offerings, financial products and other services relative to wealth advisors and their clients.

Praxis Group

Guernsey-listed Praxis Group has
launched a range of extended solutions in the company secretarial
space.

Praxis is initially focusing on an enhanced global company
secretarial (CoSec) provision for the UK, Jersey and the United
Arab Emirates markets.

The group – listed on Guernsey’s TISE exchange – is rolling out
two off-the-shelf solutions: CoSec LITE, which provides essential
compliance and governance support and is ideal for businesses
seeking assistance in meeting their statutory obligations; and
CoSec Classic, which delivers a broader range of services to
companies and structures requiring a higher level of support.

The service is delivered via integrated board and entity
management software solution, Diligent, supported by Praxis’ team
of Chartered Governance Institute-qualified professionals. They
work with international businesses, HNW individuals, family
offices, funds, law firms and other professional advisors to
provide expert assistance.

The new services are being led by Praxis’ Ava Fairclough, who has
over 15 years of experience in the corporate services
sector.

Investec

Investec has just
launched a real estate equity strategy, Investec REALIS, which
provides global investors with access to
institutional-quality UK real estate. The fund has a £250
million ($315 million) deployment target within two years.

Investec said it will commit equity to every acquisition
alongside investors, who will benefit from the former’s
established, data-led deal origination platform.

Over the next two years, REALIS aims to deploy, with leverage,
£250 million into two main investment theses: asset development
or repositioning, with a focus on highly liquid markets; and
distressed transactions, where the underlying investment benefits
from strong long-term fundamentals. The strategy is led by Yon
Papageorgiou, head of real estate equity investments, the firm
said in a statement.

The launch of REALIS follows a period of repricing within select
parts of the real estate market, offering an attractive entry
point into sector, the firm added. REALIS recently closed its
first investment, acquiring 255 High Street, a refurbished,
45,500 sq ft Grade-A, EPC A-rated office in central Guildford.
The transaction was funded with equity commitments from investors
based in the UK and the Channel Islands, Switzerland and South
Africa.

Axiom Alternative Investments

Axiom
Alternative Investments
, an asset manager specialising in
European financial stocks, has just launched its new Long Short
Equity Fund, as it extends its equity range.

The launch complements its Axiom European Banks Equity, a
long-only fund specialising in European banking equities. The
fund, which was launched 10 years ago, has outperformed the
European Banks Stocks index (SX7R) by 52.08 per cent since
inception.

The new fund, Axiom Long Short Equity, is designed as an
investment solution with an absolute return objective. It aims to
replicate the outperformance of Axiom European Banks Equity above
the Stoxx 600 Banks index (SX7R) with lower volatility and
downside risk than long-only management. Axiom Long Short Equity
will be managed by Antonio Roman, who is the lead portfolio
manager of Axiom European Banks Equity.
