HDFC bank raises Rs 7,425 cr via infrastructure bond issue
HDFC Bank on Wednesday said it has raised Rs 7,425 crore via non-convertible bonds for funding infrastructure and affordable housing projects. The bank issued and allotted on Wednesday on a private placement basis 7.71 per cent unsecured, redeemable, long-term, fully paid up, non-convertible bonds in the nature of debentures, HDFC Bank said in a regulatory filing.
As many as 7,42,500 bonds of face value Rs 1,00,000 each were issued to raise Rs 7,425 crore for funding infrastructure and affordable housing projects, it said.

This is the first serious slide in the Nifty index after the seven weeks of up move and it may result in further dip. However, it is too early to conclude the uptrend has faded until the Nifty breaks 20,700 i.e. 20 EMA on the daily chart. We reiterate our preference for index majors and suggest accumulating quality names during this phase. At the same time, the pressure could be higher in the midcap and smallcap space so participants should reduce their positions and maintain strict stop losses in remaining trades.

China oil output growth to slow in 2024 as supply harder to extract
China’s surging oil production growth in recent years, the result of a concerted investment push, is expected to ease in 2024 as falling output from mature fields requires state oil companies to tap more challenging shale and ultra-deep reserves.
