EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — The Downtown Evansville Improvement District is hosting the Asian Night Market presented by Deaconess on Friday, September 12th from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
The market will feature more than 20 Asian vendors and community organizations on Carpenter Street. Visitors can enjoy authentic Asian street food, sweet treats, handmade goods, and baked goods.
“We are thrilled to welcome guests to Carpenter Street for our first Asian Night Market,” Adam Trinkel, executive director of DEID, said. “This event connects to our ongoing efforts to create a vibrant Downtown destination by celebrating and enjoying Asian culture and cuisine.”
The event will also offer karaoke inside Warehouse 410, yard games, and crafts. Downtown stores and restaurants will remain open for customers.
Food will be served by local favorites such as Bruce Li, Chino Taco, Hul Lotta Lumpia, Kanpai, and Mangkok Filipino Cuisine. Guests 21 and older can purchase alcoholic beverages in official Downtown Evansville DORA branded cups.
Free parking will be available near the event space at locations like Fine & Hatfield, OneMain, and 2nd Language. Public restrooms and ATMs will also be accessible.
