Stock Market Live: Sensex and Nifty lost early gains after opening marginally higher. However, the indeces rebounded after noon to edge 0.5 per cent up GIFT Nifty was trading 0.3 per cent higher above the 22,000 mark during the early hours of the trade. Oil Prices
International crude oil price posted a weekly gain in the week ending February 18, and has settled at its highest price since November 2023 as West Asia tension slimmers. Brent oil price is trading 0.72 per cent lower at 82.87 while WTI is trading 0.58 per cent lower at 78.73.
Asian Markets
The Asian market remained mixed in the first trading session of this week. Japan’s Nikkei is trading with minor cuts with 0.36 per cent at 38,347.16 while South Korea’s Kospi is trading 0.79 per cent higher at 2,670.33.
US indices
US indices edged lower in the last week after an inflation report indicated that a Fed rate cut may not happen soon. Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) slid 0.37 per cent at 38,627.99. Tech-heavy S&P 500 ended the day’s trade 0.48 per cent lower at 5,005.87 while NASDAQ slipped 0.82 per cent at 15,775.65.
