According to official news from SAIC-GM-Wuling on September 7, on August 28, in Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka, Wuling Indonesia, in collaboration with Browns EV, delivered 90 units of the Wuling BinguoEV and CloudEV to the first batch of new car owners, marking an important step for SAIC-GM-Wuling in expanding its presence in the South Asian market.
As revealed by the officials, Wuling is the world’s third-largest electric vehicle brand, with cumulative sales of new energy vehicles exceeding 3 million units. Earlier in July this year, prior to the 8th anniversary event of Wuling Indonesia and the launch of the MITRA EV commercial vehicle and the 2025 BinguoEV, Wuling Indonesia reached an annual order agreement with the Browns Group for over 1,000 units, paving the way for the successful launch and delivery.
In 2025, Wuling Indonesia is intensifying its focus on export business and resource allocation. As of now, the right-hand drive export business has expanded to 20 markets, with 3 new markets added this year and a year-on-year business growth of 116%.
According to IT Home, in 2024, Wuling Indonesia achieved retail sales of 13,492 new energy vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 27%.
