Xpeng expands to new European markets

After the large European markets, Xpeng is increasingly turning its attention to smaller electric car markets in Europe. Just yesterday, for example, the company announced its imminent market launch in Poland and has brought the British sales specialist Inchcape on board (both are already cooperating in Finland).

The next expansion announcement follows today: Xpeng is rolling out its business to Switzerland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. As is often the case recently, Xpeng is sending its BEV trio P7, G9 and G6 forward. The Swedish car dealer Hedin Mobility Group, which is also responsible for sales of the current Xpeng range in Germany, is in charge of sales. Hedin is also already active as a retailer for the brand in Belgium and Luxembourg.

“Our brand launch and our partnership with Inchcape strengthen XPENG’s European ambitions,” emphasised Alex Tang, Head of International Division of Sales and Service at Xpeng. “We are excited to introduce consumers in Poland to a new standard in electric mobility, combining XPENG’s innovative technology with exceptional design to deliver an unparalleled experience that meets the demands of today’s drivers.”

In Poland, Xpeng intends to offer all three models currently sold in Europe from the outset, including the P7 sedan, the large G9 SUV and the G6 SUV coupé. The company is confident that its offering will attract strong interest and mirror its success in other European countries.

“Our brand launch and our partnership with Hedin Mobility Group bolster XPENG’s European ambitions,” explained Alex Tang. “We are excited to introduce consumers in Switzerland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia to a new standard in electric mobility, combining XPENG’s innovative technology with exceptional design to deliver an unparalleled experience that meets the demands of today’s drivers.”

Since entering the European automotive market in Norway in 2021, Xpeng has made steady progress in Europe. The Chinese company is now present in Germany, France, the UK, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Spain, Portugal, Ireland and now also in Switzerland, Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

By the end of 2025, Xpeng aims to be active in more than 60 markets worldwide and generate half of its turnover in overseas markets.
