WBCSD finance director resigns | Bonner County Daily Bee

PRIEST RIVER — At about midnight Wednesday, West Bonner County School District trustees voted to accept the resignation of finance director Dean Davis, effective Aug. 27.

The resignation became publicly known at the end of a six-hour meeting that included the board’s decision to bring a one-year, $1.13 million levy to the Nov. 5 ballot.

“I want to say I thank Dean Davis for all the work he’s done since April,” said Board Chair Margaret Hall in regard to Davis’s recent efforts to increase the transparency of the district’s accounting.

The trustees then agreed that Hall and Superintendent Kim Spacek would meet with WBCSD’s business management consultant services team to begin taking steps to fill the seat.

Davis’s resignation comes about a month after former Zone 3 Trustee Troy Reinbold stepped down from the board seven months into his second term.

The board accepted applications to fill Reinbold’s seat in early August and announced Wednesday that a single applicant — Delbert Pound — had come forth during that period.

“I know Delbert Pound and I think he’s going to be great,” said Board Vice Chair Ann Yount during Wednesday’s meeting.

The board voted to introduce and interview Pound in a special 5 p.m. session preceding their next regular meeting.

The board of trustees will gather next Sept. 18, 6 p.m., in the Priest River Lamanna High School cafeteria, 596 Highway 57.
