Top of week is the two-day Federal Reserve policy meeting that kicks off Tuesday. All eyes will be on Wednesday’s announcement of the Fed’s latest interest rate decision.
Tuesday also brings the JOLTS report on job openings for December, a data point likely to be closely evaluated by Fed officials.
Big tech names like Microsoft (MSFT) and Alphabet (GOOG, GOOGL) are set to report earnings on Tuesday as well. On Thursday, Apple (AAPL), Meta (META), and Amazon (AMZN) will all report their quarterly results after the market close.
The week ends with the January jobs report on Friday morning.
