Santa Maria City Council to review CDBG funding at Tuesday’s meeting | Government and Politics

The meeting will take place at the City Council Chambers, 110 East Cook Street, Santa Maria. Several Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program items will be presented for Council consideration:

• Fiscal Year (FY) 2027-28 CDBG Funding Priorities: The City Council will review the Block Grants Advisory Committee’s (BGAC) recommended priorities for allocating federal CDBG funds in FY 2027-28. Public comments are accepted through September 15.
• FY 2025‑26 Draft CDBG CAPER: Residents are invited to review and comment on the Draft Consolidated Annual Performance & Evaluation Report (CAPER), which summarizes how CDBG funding benefited Santa Maria during FY 2025‑26. The document is available at www.cityofsantamaria.org/caper and comments are accepted through September 15.
• Proposed Substantial Amendment to the FY 2026‑27 CDBG Action Plan: The City Council will consider an amendment to the FY 2026‑27 Action Plan to include a minor home repair activity and authorize the use of CDBG Revolving Loan funds for this purpose. The document is available at www.cityofsantamaria.org/caper and comments are accepted through September 30.
