Take Financial News’s Women in the City survey now

For years now, the City has dedicated a lot of time and money to addressing the lack of women among its senior ranks.

Financial News has been telling the stories of women in the sector, from all walks of life, and the struggles they have gone through while pursuing a career in a male-dominated industry.

In the last year alone, we have shone a light on the City’s battle to halt menopause attrition, the dearth of women in dealmaking, the struggles of juggling career and childcare and the tools that firms are using to silence sexual harassment victims after scandals at the Confederation of British Industry and Odey Asset Management.

Meanwhile, FN has continued championing the City’s best and brightest through initiatives such as the FN100 Most Influential Women in Finance list, which celebrated its 17th year in 2023.

With International Women’s Day fast approaching, we want to hear from our readers about the industry’s progress on reducing gender inequality.

Is the old boys’ club preventing more women from getting into the C-suite? Or is the lack of flexible working arrangements and female role models a bigger issue?

Are diversity and inclusion initiatives actually working? Should companies be able to use non-disclosure agreements to cover up sexual harassment?
