KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank has fixed the foreign currency exchange rates for today. According to the central bank, the buying rate for one US dollar has been fixed at Rs 152.59, while the selling rate is Rs 153.19.
The buying rate for one European euro has been fixed at Rs 176.96 and the selling rate at Rs 177.65. Similarly, the buying rate for one UK pound sterling is Rs 206.18, with a selling rate of Rs 206.99. The Swiss franc has a buying rate of Rs 187.34 and a selling rate of Rs 188.08.
The buying rate for one Australian dollar is Rs 109.41 and the selling rate is Rs 109.84. The Canadian dollar has been fixed at Rs 110.19 for buying and Rs 110.62 for selling, while the Singapore dollar has a buying rate of Rs 120.35 and a selling rate of Rs 120.83.
For the Japanese yen, the buying rate for 10 yen is Rs 9.90 and the selling rate is Rs 9.94. The buying rate for one Chinese yuan is Rs 22.75 and the selling rate is Rs 22.84. Similarly, one Saudi Arabian riyal has a buying rate of Rs 40.63 and a selling rate of Rs 40.79, while one Qatari riyal has been fixed at Rs 41.86 for buying and Rs 42.02 for selling.
According to the central bank, the buying rate for one Thai baht is Rs 4.62 and the selling rate is Rs 4.64. The UAE dirham has a buying rate of Rs 41.55 and a selling rate of Rs 41.71, while the Malaysian ringgit has been fixed at Rs 37.49 for buying and Rs 37.63 for selling. The buying rate for one South Korean won is Rs 11.37 and the selling rate is Rs 11.41. Meanwhile, the Swedish krona has a buying rate of Rs 15.75 and a selling rate of Rs 15.81, while the Danish krone has been fixed at Rs 23.67 for buying and Rs 23.77 for selling.
The central bank has set the buying rate for one Hong Kong dollar at Rs 19.46 and the selling rate at Rs 19.53. The Kuwaiti dinar has a buying rate of Rs 497.60 and a selling rate of Rs 499.56, while the Bahraini dinar has been fixed at Rs 404.72 for buying and Rs 406.11 for selling. The buying rate for one Omani rial is Rs 396.33 and the selling rate is Rs 397.89.
The buying and selling rates for 100 Indian rupees have both been fixed at Rs 160. Nepal Rastra Bank has stated that the exchange rates may be revised at any time if necessary. Exchange rates offered by commercial banks may differ from those fixed by the central bank, and updated rates will be available on the Nepal Rastra Bank website.
