German Tech Holding achieves further legal success against its multi-million-euro debtor SGT Capital LLC and its partner Marianne Rajic
Frankfurt/Main, 11 September 2026 – German Tech Holding (GTH) has achieved a further court success against the SGT Group. SGT Capital LLC (SGTLLC), which claims to be a global private equity asset manager, and its partner Marianne Rajic had obtained a preliminary injunction against a statement in a GTH press release of 02.09.2025, whereupon GTH removed the passage at issue from its press release.
SGTLLC and Ms Rajic had objected that the individual partial statements, each of which is accurate in itself, embodied in their overall impression the covert factual assertion, or in any event the covert expression of suspicion, that Marianne Rajic was the originator of an anonymous email smear campaign which even contained baseless allegations of child abuse against a corporate body of GTH.
At yesterday’s oral hearing before the Higher Regional Court of Frankfurt am Main, SGTLLC and Ms Rajic, following discussion, suddenly withdrew their original application against our statement in its entirety, with the result that their injunction has become ineffective. The Higher Regional Court had previously ruled in separate proceedings concerning various email statements by GTH that it must be assumed for procedural purposes that SGT partner Marianne Rajic is the originator of the anonymous defamation campaign in the sense that she is causally co-responsible for the sending of the emails.
GTH has thus prevailed in four of the five preliminary injunction proceedings brought by SGTLLC to date, two of which are still pending on appeal, and has won the fifth proceeding on the point material to GTH.
GTH’s most recent legal success should further increase the pressure on SGTLLC to reach an agreement with GTH in the existing legal disputes and on the settlement of its multi-million-euro liabilities, some of which are overdue. This applies irrespective of the fact that GTH has discontinued until further notice the global settlement talks with SGTLLC begun in March, on account of a massive breach of trust.
For the reasons reported on 27.08.2026, it continues to expect substantial incoming payments from the SGT Group still in 2026.
GTH’s founder and CEO: “The vile, cowardly and presumably criminal anonymous smear campaign against us is without precedent, even for black sheep of the private equity industry. It appears to be solely about attempting to evade the payment of our existing financial receivables. I can imagine the anguish that Marianne Rajic’s presumed causal co-responsibility for the campaign is causing her partners Joseph Pacini, Carsten Geyer, Marcel Normann and Jens Dino Steinborn, who are closely associated with her in day-to-day business, her remaining employees, their families, the management of their only portfolio company Utimaco, and their investors.”
The statement of 02.09.2025 vehemently challenged by SGTLLC and Ms Rajic read –
“With regard to the scandalous, cowardly, and criminal anonymous defamation campaign against PGH and its CEO Christoph Gerlinger that has been ongoing since December 2024 – in which, among other things, information and documents related to the former connection to SGTLLC played a role – new findings have emerged in the meantime. One of the anonymous emails dated 21 January 2025 contained a screenshot of an email to the auditors Forvis Mazars, the content being irrelevant. The sender’s and recipient’s names in the email were blackened. It has now been revealed that it was Marianne Rajic who wrote to Forvis Mazars on 20 January 2025. PGH then confronted Marianne Rajic and the other SGT partners with the question of how a screenshot of this email, with her name blackened, could appear as an attachment to one of the anonymous emails only 30 hours later. PGH management has instructed its lawyers to file criminal charges.”
