Kosciusko County Shrine awarded 100 Million Dollar Certificates to community members who support the work of the Shriners Children’s Hospitals.
These community members are longtime supporters of the annual Shrine Turkey Shoot, which will be held Sept. 26-27 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Beason’s Gun Range, Etna Green, according to a provided news release.
When asked why they support the event, Solloway stated, “For 15 years, knowing the Shrine is committed to children, our community and the good they accomplish is a mission I support and it is all on a volunteer basis that benefits the Kosciusko County children. The Smiths began the Shoot in 1999 so the specified proceeds go directly to the hospitals. Don and Bernice love to work with local donors and sportsmen who have a passion for helping local children.”
Hornyak said the Patona Bay Marina family has supported the mission so local families and children would get world class care without financial burden. The community and children are the reasons they continue to support the event.
Food will be available and the public is welcome. Shoot for numerous prizes or participate in a huge silent auction with items supplied by local community businesses. The public is welcome and children under 12 may shoot free for a .410 shotgun provided by Two Bear Arms Gun Shop. In addition, a three-gun raffle will be held.
