TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Thousands of people gathered at Tom Brown Park for the seventh annual Oasis Fun Fest Saturday.
The free summer festival featured local vendors, food trucks, inflatable rides and activities for children.
Organizer Deidree Williams said families could purchase wristbands for the rides, with proceeds supporting Oasis Christian Center’s “Stock the Classroom” initiative.

“Each year we pick a classroom with a teacher who needs supplies,” Williams said. “Back to school is always an important thing every year, but those supplies run out. The students still have a need, and we’re here to give you exactly what you need so your students can be successful.”
The “Stock the Classroom” initiative helps equip underfunded elementary schools with the school supplies they need most.
Williams also said the summer festival is a fun end-of-summer event for families.
