POUGHKEEPSIE – Dutchess County Executive Sue Serino has announced $1.2 million to be awarded for 14 projects through the County’s 2026 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME). This investment will remove barriers to accessibility for seniors and those with special needs, address critical infrastructure needs, and expand affordable housing options throughout Dutchess County.
Dutchess County Executive Sue Serino said, “These investments help people right here in Dutchess County, supporting our neighbors who need extra help. We fix sidewalks so students and families can travel safely. We expand affordable housing for families. These projects make a real difference, and I’m thankful for our local partners who help us turn these funds into real results for our Dutchess County neighbors.”
CDBG and HOME program funding is provided by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to address locally identified community development and housing needs. CDBG funds support community development projects and activities that benefit low- and moderate-income people, neighborhoods, and communities; the HOME Investment program creates affordable housing options for low-income households.
