ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — On Sunday, Wine Walk Asheville, a fundraising event, gave people the chance to sip and shop local.
Twenty-four downtown businesses took part this year to raise money for Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity, which is still working to help the community rebuild after Helene.
“We like to say at Habitat our work brings people together. We have volunteers that are involved, very generous donors and sponsors that do our work and of course our homeowners that put in sweat equity hours,” said Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity development manager Zoe Trout.

3 ASHEVILLE BREWERIES MEDAL AT 2026 WORLD BEER CUP
Participants walked a route of businesses that offered different wines and snacks.
“I think it’s a fun drink to drink and to share. And it brings people together,” said event organizer Denise Foy.
This was the 4th annual event and they plan to bring it back bigger and better next year.
