Rockland Trust names vice president
Rockland Trust’s Investment Management Group appointed Michael Nadler as a vice president and portfolio manager. In this role, Nadler will partner with clients throughout the Greater Lowell community to understand their unique financial goals and develop personalized investment strategies that reflect their needs and risk tolerance. He will provide guidance in areas including asset allocation, long-term planning, and securities research.
Nadler brings over 16 years of experience in the financial services industry to this role, having worked in the financial services industry since 2010. He began his career with State Street Bank and Trust and most recently served as an investment strategist with State Street Investment Management.
As a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder, he will work directly with clients to develop personalized investment strategies, including asset allocation, long-term financial planning, and securities research.

Tewksbury Community Market
TEWKSBURY — Bring an appetite for food and adventure to the Tewksbury Community Market on Thursday, Sept. 3, from 4 to 7 p.m., in the parking lot behind the Recreation Center at 288 Livingston St. The market runs every Thursday through the end of September.
More than 30 vendors will be on hand offering farm-fresh vegetables, fresh-baked desserts, cold-pressed juice as well as other food choices such as mac and cheese, seafood and barbecue. Or browse the creations made by local artisans and crafters. Food trucks serving Italian food, empanadas and pub food will also be on site. The market’s lineup changes weekly, with up to 30 vendors featured each week. The Baldwin Girl Scouts and Tewksbury Friends of the Elderly will be tabling at this event.
While visiting the market, take advantage of Livingston Park’s amenities, including a splash pad, playground, skate park, tennis courts (with pickleball lines), basketball courts, ball fields, exercise court, pavilion and free little library.
There are five parking lots near the market, including across the street near the football fields and next to the playground. A limited number of marked handicapped parking are located in the small parking lot in front of the Recreation Center.

Save the date: Gala fundraiser for Lowell Center for the Arts
LOWELL — The Lowell Center for the Arts has finalized the purchased of the historic Smith Baker Center on Merrimack Street in August, marking a major milestone in a community effort that began in 2024 to save one of Lowell’s most significant architectural and cultural landmarks.
With the acquisition complete, CEO Owen Kelly said restoration work is beginning.
“What began as a grassroots effort to save a beloved historic landmark from demolition has grown into a significant investment in the future of Lowell,” Kelly said. “Restoration will continue in phases over the coming years as the Lowell Center for the Arts works toward fully reopening the building as a permanent home for arts, education, history, and community engagement.”
Although still in the planning stages, a fundraising gala is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 14, at 6:30 p.m., at Cobblestones of Lowell, 91 Dutton St.
